Kore wa Zombie Desu ka?

9 03 2012

I’ve watched a lot of Anime and I never get tired to watch series like this. I don’t want to be like those smart ass who says they only watch Anime series that are rich in psychological perspective and somehow make them puzzled or amazed, well I’m not like that because for me, there’s always a good thing about a series no matter how bad other people say it was. Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Is one of the those unique series that is really entertaining to watch because of the interesting characters and their hilarious and sometimes emotional moments. The fight scene are very unique because how to you imagine a zombie and a Mahou Shoujo collide and a lot more different supernatural being.

Aikawa Ayumu is a normal high school boy. One day he is killed by a serial killer and revived as a zombie by a necromancer named Eucliwood Hellscythe. He starts to serve Eu as her guard but he happens to deprive the Mahou Shoujo Haruna of her magic power. Haruna orders Ayumu to fight against the anti-mahou shoujo system “Megalo” in her place.

Every Anime is worth watching and Kore wa Zombie Desu ka? Is one hell of a series that will show you a different way of fighting the force of darkness. One more thing, this series is very cute, maybe that is a great reason for you to enjoy it. It’s cool and entertaining and definitely worth of your time.

There is always a time that you lost sight of the most important things in your life. It comes to the point that people around you knows you more than you know yourself and a lot of things are getting confusing, sometimes your losing your own goals and direction in life. This is what Honey and Clover is all about.

Takemoto Yuuta, Mayama Takumi, and Morita Shinobu are college students who share the small apartment. Even though they live in poverty, the three of them are able to obtain pleasure through small things in life. The story follows these characters’ life stories as poor college students, as well as their love lives when a short but talented 18 year old girl called Hanamoto Hagumi appears.

We usually watch Anime series that has a connection to us and sometimes we use it as an escape from reality or if we will take it in a positive point of view this kind of Anime series make us realize a lot of things in our life. They make us cry, they make us laugh, and sometimes they make us develop something about ourselves. That’s a very good reason why you should watch this series.

Sayonara Zetsubou Sensei

4 03 2012

I’m in despair!! The internet left in despair!! Those are the words that this Anime series that stayed on my brain and put me on despair lol. It’s a collection of people with extreme characteristics and how they blend in the society. This series will introduce you the most pessimistic person you’ve never imagine and a lot more extreme personalities that will make you laugh and put you in despair.

Itoshiki Nozomu is always in despair! Even simple things like paying for the toll on the subway can send him to despair so deep only attempted suicide is the answer. How strange is it then, that he should be the teacher of a High School Class filled with students with even more emotional problems than his. This great Comedy will leave you in anything but ‘Despair’ as you meet each of his students and watch their wacky adventures.

This is the smartest and darkest comedy I’ve ever seen in my whole life. I definitely want you to watch it. The characters on this Anime series are what make the whole series hilarious yet dark that you will surely enjoy and learn something from it. It’s very simple just watch it because it’s worth watching.

Baccano!

2 03 2012

Usually I want to watch series that will make me think and watch it with my full focus and concentration. Baccano manages to give me that kind of feeling because it’s has an unusual style of story telling that will seriously confused you most of the time but will eventually make you realize and understand after watching each episode. That’s the reason you can’t judge this series just by watching the first episode.

During the late 1930s in Chicago, the transcontinental train, Flying Pussyfoot, is starting its legendary journey that will leave a trail of blood all over the country. At the same time in New York, the ambitious scientist Szilard and his unwilling aide Ennis, are looking for missing bottles of the immortality elixir. In addition, a war between the mafia groups is getting worse. On board the Advena Avis, in 1711, alchemists are about to learn the price of immortality. Based on the award winning light novels of the same name, this anime adaptation follows several events that initially seem unrelated, both in time and place, but are part of a much bigger story – one of alchemy, survival and immortality. Merging these events together are the kindhearted would-be thieves, Isaac and Miria, connecting various people, all of them with their own hidden ambitions and agendas, and creating lifelong bonds and consequences for everyone involved.

This series is a character driven story that contains a good amount of drama, action and comedy. Baccano is one of the most enjoyable series with a great suspense and absurd comedy with a mix of brutal fight scenes. In Baccano every character plays a lead role. You can watch this over and over again and you will still enjoy it. That’s the reason why this is a must watch Anime series.

Welcome to the NHK!

29 02 2012

The number one Anime series on my list. This series is very life changing because it deals with real life situation that each and everyone of us are involve. I found this series when I was so down and depress and Welcome to the N.H.K gives me a lot of reason to live and go on with life. It’s a collection of negative and positive events in life that most people can relate with.

Satou Tatsuhiro, 22 years old, thinks that everything that happens around him is a conspiracy. He even figured out who is behind it all: The NHK, an evil secret company. “When you think anime, you think otaku. When you think otaku, you think people that dislike other people. Those people become hikikomori (people who shut themselves in)”. So Satou manages to uncover the plot of The NHK (stands for Nihon Hikikomori Kyokai), after three years of shutting himself in (and rapidly approaching the fourth). In reality, he is nothing more than a NEET (Not in Employment, Education or Training), desperately in need of a cure from that “disease”. He wants to break out from the curse, but going out and getting a job is frightening enough for him. That is until he gets selected for a “project”; it is a plan to help hikikomori like him in facing the reality of this world.

Without even thinking you should watch this Anime series. Every one of us knows that life is always cruel and unfair but there’s always a rainbow after the rain. This series contains humor, romance and life changing events that will surely hit your thoughts and somehow related to your personal life. Welcome to the N.H.K is seriously worth watching and re-watching over and over again.

C: The Money of Soul and Possibility Control

27 02 2012

A lot of people think this is an average Anime series, talking about average its close to a not so good category, that’s why I’m gonna do everything to show you the good side of this series. The story is very unique, Ive never seen a plot and setting like this before. You might get confused while watching it but you will definitely enjoy the action scenes and sound effects.

The Japanese government was rescued from the brink of financial collapse by the Sovereign Wealth Fund. For its citizens, however, life has not improved, and unemployment, crime, suicide, and despair are rampant. Kimimaro, raised by his maternal grandmother after the disappearance of his father and the death of his mother, is a scholarship student whose only dream is to avoid all this and live a stable life. One day, however, he meets a man who offers him a large sum of money if he’ll agree to pay it back. From then on his fate is radically altered as he’s drawn into a mysterious area known as “The Financial District.”

This series is something I rarely recommend because I myself is confused. It gives me pain in the ass, I can’t say it’s not good because it has a very interesting ideas but needs a lot of development on the plot execution, but yes this is a good series that entails a lot of thinking since it talks about economy and other factors related. Action is present with a little bit of cute romance. If you enjoy sci-fi series then this Anime is the right thing for you. I guess I defend and explained it well so I think that’s enough reason for you to watch it. Yes it’s a worth of your time.

Steins;Gate

25 02 2012

The concept of time traveling is a very common thing on Anime series and even in movies. People think that time is a complex matter but if you put it in a simple viewpoint its a ball of repeated stuffs that are circulating endlessly. “EL PSY CONGROO” those are the words that came from a mad scientist. Isn’t interesting to for an Anime series to have a mad scientist, an hacker, a cosplyer and all sorts of weird people working together to discover the mystery of time travel and to fight against it. It’s the battle between human and time itself. That is what this series all about.

Steins;Gate is set in the summer of 2010, approximately one year after the events that took place in Chaos;Head, in Akihabara. Steins;Gate is about a group of friends who have customized their microwave into a device that can send text messages to the past. As they perform different experiments, an organization named SERN, who has been doing their own research on time travel, tracks them down and now the characters have to find a way to avoid being captured by them.

This is not your typical time travel Anime series, I definitely recommend this Anime even if it will cause me to travel on time and repeatedly convince everyone to watch it. Just when you think the story has become predictable, there is a twist that will blow your mind, because it’s a twist that you never imagined in your whole life.

Paranoia Agent

24 02 2012

To begin with, This is a master piece and one of the best work of Satoshi Kon. I really love psychological and mystery genre that’s why when I picked up Paranoia Agent it never fail to amaze me. Talking about mind rapping scene and conclusions together with the realistic art, this Anime series is too awesome but be reminded this is not for kids.

An elementary school kid dubbed with the title “Shounen Bat” or “Lil Slugger” has been going around attacking people with his bent, golden bat. Now, two detectives are investigating so they can stop this kid from making any more attacks, but they will find out soon enough… that this case is much more than they expected.

Yet again, People you should watch this without a doubt. If you’re a fan of Satoshi Kon’s work then you should know that this Anime series is worth watching and will turn your head around. The OP song is great and just a piece of advice, you might be confused with the other episode but watch them anyway because in the end the conclusion you’re seeking is just right there.

Soul Eater

22 02 2012

At first you will think that is just your ordinary Shounen series because all of the given elements of a Shounen series is present on this Anime. But wait it’s not your typical Shounen Anime because as you watched every episode you will realize the deeper development of the story. The story is simple but the events occurring is what makes Soul Eater a must watch and an interesting series. Keep in mind action is always present.

Set in the Shinigami technical school for weapon meisters, the series revolves around 3 groups of each a weapon meister and a human weapon. Trying to make the latter a “Death Scythe” which is the highest title for a weapon and thus fit for use by the Shinigami, they must collect the souls of 99 evil humans and 1 witch. Maka & Soul Eater, Black Star & Tsubaki, and Death the Kid with Patty and Liz Thompson are the characters Soul Eater revolves around. Besides taking the time to gather souls, these students of Shibusen defend Death City from some of the most powerful of creatures while still attending school and trying to become stronger.

Oh yea! The Scythe, the Guns and the Swords and all the interesting fights on this series is enough reason to watch it and I definitely recommend this Anime series for action lovers. With all the cool selection of weapons along with humor and emotional events, this series is the right thing for you.

Soredemo Machi wa Mawatteiru

22 02 2012

Sometimes I tend to watch Anime that are not on my list at all and most of them are the least I expected to be awesome. You can’t judge an Anime if you haven’t watch it at all right? I really don’t know the reason why I’m hooked to this series, maybe because a girl recommended it, I guess? I just can’t stop watching, that’s because of Hotori the main character of this series and all sorts of crazy mystery that keeps going throughout the whole series. Another awesome thing about this series is the OP song.

Hotori Arashiyama loves mysteries, but there’s one she just can’t solve: why does the solution to one problem inevitably seem to lead to another? Like how when Hotori has to start working at the Seaside Maid Cafe after school to pay off a debt and her friend Toshiko fortunately knows exactly how a Maid Cafe should be run. Which is fortunate since Hotori has no clue. Except that, unfortunately, Toshiko has no interest in working at the cafe – until she discovers that Hotori’s childhood friend Hiroyuki is a regular. Which SEEMS fortunate. Except that Hotori doesn’t know that, while Toshiko likes Hiroyuki, Hiroyuki secretly likes Hotori, while Hotori secretly has a crush on… No, no more spoilers! But if that’s not enough drama, there’s work, angst with a certain math teacher, table tennis between her classmates, her younger brother versus the school’s bad girl… And yet, even though everything seems like it’s going to crash at any moment, somehow Hotori’s life keeps going hilariously forward.

This is a crazy energetic Anime series to watch. Things like maid café and mysteries along with a crazy and silly atmosphere that this series gives. If you want to unwind and relieve some stressful feelings, this Anime is just the thing for you, not to mention Hotori’s voice and her silly attitude that will give you the most relaxing feeling ever. It’s not the best Anime but its worth watching.
